Well, as text adventures go, Interstate 0, which won much fame at the
XYZZYs, has more plot branches than you can shake a knobbly stick at.

There's also... lemmesee... Delusions had a little branching, though I
think most of the 'diverging' branches are quite short, Mercy had
multiple endings and some minor branches throughout, Tapestry has three
strongly defined branches, The Space Under The Window is one big
shrubbery, though it probably doesen't count as a text *adventure*, Zero
Sum Game has branching, if you count choosing your gender at the
beginning as a plot branch... (you can tell I'm going through my IF
directory alphabetically, can't you)

So, while only two of the text adventures, I-0 and Tapestry, have
strongly defined plot branches, there are plenty of text adventures
where the story changes more than just a tad depending on your choices.

The one plot / puzzle branching graphical adventure that springs to my
mind is Kyrandia 3, where you could solve problems in an impressive
multitude of ways (I think there's approx. 7 ways to get off Kyrandia),
and you got to choose between 3 approaches to the endgame. There are
probably lots more text and graphical adventures with branches that I
can't quite remember or haven't quite played. :-)
