I wear many hats. Most of my time is in the area of educational technology. I teach middle school technology at The Rice School and I also work with Houston area teachers who attend outreach programs provided by Rice University. This is very enriching, however, I also have a small technology consulting business where I develop and maintain web content for my clients. My business website is martyd.com.

- Instructional Technology Specialist
  - Develop technology integration curriculum for K-12 science and math educators.
  - Provide hands-on workshops with numerous applications including MS Word, Excel,
  - PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Macromedia Authorware, Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Fireworks, Mozilla, various ftp and compression utilities, SSH , Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and a variety of other software.
  - Work with teachers to use standards based curriculum and integrate technology successfully

Classroom Teacher
- Taught inner city fourth grade, one third of which were limited English speakers. Entire class went from below grade level to passing the state academic skills test (TAAS) in all areas.
- Taught ESL and regular students in self-contained classrooms in third grades. State standardized passing rate was 90% or higher each year.
