Rough-toothed dolphins travel in groups of 10 to 20 and sometimes several hundreds of them. When new doplhins are born (c.39in = 1m) other members in the group help watch the calfs while the mother hunts for food. The Rough-toothed dolphin adults are 7-8 1/2feet (2.1-2.6 m.) weighing anywhere from 220 lbs to 230 lbs. They usually feed on diffrent fish, squid, and octpus. They have at least 32 to 52 teeth on the top row and 38-56 teeth on the bottom row. That's a lot of teeth. They have white lips and a white lower jaw.
It
They swim with their chin and head above the water. This is called skimming.
Sometimes they swim rapidly under water while their dorsal fins can be clearly
seen above the water, sometimes resembling a dolphin. Rough-toothed dolphins
are intresting and beautiful marine animals.

They are usually hard animals to observe because they stay under water for more than 15 minutes at least.
