Welcome the the Website for the Galveston Bay Project Page 1999. Each year we have a three week teacher's program and a 2 week girl's program. The teachers created web quests to use as teaching aides during the school year and the girls each created their own web page that tells about one facet of the Galveston Bay area. Check out our sites and use them as teaching tools throughout the year.
The Galveston Bay Project is a program sponsored by the Department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University. Funding is provided through a four-year Howard Hughes Medical Institute Biological Sciences Educations Grant. The project combines environmental science and technology instruction for K-12 teachers in the Houston area.
